Arborwise — Terms of Use

1. What Arborwise is

Arborwise is a tool for structured decision thinking. It helps you reflect on a decision using guided questions and produces a written summary of that process.

Arborwise does not provide professional, legal, financial, medical, or other advice.

2. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for any decisions you make.

Arborwise does not guarantee outcomes, correctness, or suitability for your situation.

3. Session behaviour

Arborwise processes one session at a time.

Sessions are not retained by the system after completion. If you wish to keep a result, you must copy or download it yourself.

4. Credits

5. Outputs

You own the outputs you generate using Arborwise, including summaries and downloaded decision artefacts.

You are responsible for how you use them.

6. Availability

Arborwise may change, pause, or discontinue at any time without notice.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Arborwise is for reflecting on human decisions. It is not a tool for improving harmful courses of action, and it will not treat such activity as a decision to be explored.

8. Safety and eligibility

Arborwise is intended for adults reflecting on their own decisions. It is not a crisis service, a medical, legal, or financial service, or a substitute for professional help.

Arborwise runs automated safety checks and may enter a visible Safety Mode for topics that fall outside its supported reflection domain. In Safety Mode it will not generate, compare, or evaluate harmful options. Where a topic suggests risk of harm, Arborwise may instead point you toward appropriate support.

If you are in immediate danger or crisis, contact your local emergency services. Arborwise cannot provide emergency assistance.

9. Limitation of liability

Arborwise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arborwise is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the system.

10. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in Arborwise, including its software, designs, interfaces, content, documentation, trademarks, graphics, visual frameworks, methodologies, and underlying systems are owned by Daniel James Atkins trading as Arborwise and/or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

Arborwise, HCPS (Human Capability Preservation Standard), associated methodologies, terminology, documentation, visual frameworks, software, designs, and content are protected by intellectual property laws.

This section does not affect your ownership of the outputs you generate, which is addressed in section 5.
